> Add Travelyfe to ChatGPT so it can plan and save itineraries for you.

ChatGPT connects to Travelyfe through **developer mode**, which lets you add an app of your own. See [Connect An Assistant](https://docs.ahmedmediagroup.com/en/connect-an-assistant) for what that allows.

## Before You Start

- **Plan.** Developer mode is available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. Full support, including creating and changing itineraries, is in beta for Business, Enterprise and Edu. On Plus and Pro, OpenAI currently limits custom apps to finding and reading, so ChatGPT can look through your itineraries but may not be able to create or edit them.
- **Where.** Set it up at [chatgpt.com](https://chatgpt.com) in a browser. OpenAI says these apps are web only and aren't in the mobile apps.
- **Workspaces.** On Business, only admins and owners can use developer mode. On Enterprise and Edu, an admin has to grant it to you first.

## Connect

<Tabs items={['Plus And Pro', 'Business, Enterprise And Edu']}>
  **Plus And Pro**

    1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings** and turn on **Developer mode**. OpenAI's help centre lists it under **Apps > Advanced settings**; its developer pages list it under **Security and login**.

    2. In **Settings > Apps**, choose **Create**.

    3. Name the app `Travelyfe`, enter the address `https://api.travelyfe.com/mcp` in the server URL field, and choose **OAuth** for sign-in.

    4. Choose **Scan Tools**. ChatGPT opens a Travelyfe sign-in page: sign in and approve access, then wait for the scan to finish.

    5. Choose **Create**. Travelyfe appears under **Settings > Apps** with a **Dev** label.

  **Business, Enterprise And Edu**

    6. Make sure developer mode is on for your account. Enterprise and Edu admins grant it in **Workspace Settings > Permissions & Roles > Connected Data**; you then turn it on in **Settings > Apps > Advanced settings**.

    7. Admins and owners create the app from **Workspace settings > Apps > Create**. Other authorised members use **Settings > Apps > Create**.

    8. Enter the address `https://api.travelyfe.com/mcp` in the server URL field and choose **OAuth** for sign-in.

    9. Choose **Scan Tools**, sign in to Travelyfe and approve access, then choose **Create**. The app is saved as a draft in **Workspace Settings > Apps > Drafts**.

    10. To make it available to the workspace, an admin or owner opens **Drafts** and chooses **Publish**.

## Use It

Start a new chat, choose **Developer mode** from the **+** menu and select Travelyfe, or name Travelyfe in your message. For example: *Use Travelyfe to plan four days in Lisbon in May.*

ChatGPT asks you to confirm before it changes your itineraries. Anything it creates is saved to your account as a private itinerary.

To turn a web page, a PDF or photos into an itinerary, share them in the chat and ask ChatGPT to save it to Travelyfe. For a TikTok, Reel or YouTube video, use **Create** in the Travelyfe app.

## Disconnect

Remove the app from **Settings > Apps** in ChatGPT. Then, in Travelyfe, open **Account > Settings > Integrations** and disconnect ChatGPT.

## If It Doesn't Work

- **ChatGPT asks you to sign in again.** Reconnect the app from **Settings > Apps**.
- **It can find itineraries but not create them.** On Plus and Pro, OpenAI limits custom apps to reading for now.
- **You can't see Developer mode.** Check your plan, and on Business, Enterprise and Edu ask an admin to turn it on.
- **Travelyfe isn't used in the chat.** Choose it from the **+** menu, or name it in your message.
